OCEANS

We did several activities that helped us to learn about oceans and also covered the required curriculum. We also spent time reading lots of nonfiction books so that the kids became exposed to differences between fiction and nonfiction books. Please click on the icons below to see some of the students work
A House for Hermit Crab - we read this story by Eric Carle and then we decorated a house for our own hermit crab ( we used soft items, hard items, shiny items, rough item and smooth items.
Ocean Anva Poem - this is a four word poem that consists of an adjective, noun, verb and adverb.
Shark Glyph - a glyph is a picture that is colored according to a legend. A viewer learns information about the person who completed the glyph. This is actually a math activity, as you can graph the results when the pictures are posted. You will see the legend as well as the glyphs that the children created.
