Procedures, regulations, processes and guidelines that take their direction from Board Policies. The Administrative Procedures are ultimately the responsibility of the Board but are delegated to the Superintendent or Executive Team, who is given decision-making authority over these operational-level rules.

The Introduction to the Board Policy Manual and accompanying policies 1 Vision, Mission and Values and 2 Governance Model, establish the legal philosophical and practical framework in which the Division operates.

Board policies written in positive and enabling language form the foundation upon which administrative procedures rest. Best practices would indicate that the following categories will capture most if not all administrative procedures. Each category is informed by one or more Board Policies which provide over-arching direction to administration.
