Study Manitoba School Divisions

Study Manitoba School Divisions, in conjuction with public schools in the Southwestern corner of Manitoba, offers a study abroad program aimed at K-12 students from around the world. The schools in Study Manitoba School Divisions are staffed by government certified employees and the curriculum is government approved.

Turtle Mountain School Division has partnered with Study MB School Divisions and the following school divisions in this initiative:

Reading Recovery:

Reading Recovery is a highly effective short-term intervention of one-to-one tutoring for first graders who are struggling. The intervention is most effective when it is used as a supplement to good classroom teaching.

Turtle Mountain School Division has partnered with the following school divisions in the Reading Recovery Program:

  • Brandon School Division
Career and Technology Studies Program:
The Career and Technology Studies Program offers flexible learning opportunities for students pursuing career-related interests while completing their high school education. This program is designed to assist participants in developing a "career path" based on informed choices. CTS combines "in-school" Technology Education options, "community-based" Career Internship, and Career Counseling support services for the most "authentic" learning environment for each individual participant.

Career Trek: 
Career Trek is a not-for-profit organization that provides innovative educational programming for young people with perceived barriers to entering post-secondary education.

Operating at the University of Manitoba, the University of Winnipeg and Red River College, the program is designed to educate students (and their families) about the importance of staying in school, aspiring to a post-secondary education and career options.
